This is required because ExternalProject_Add requires all targets specified in the DEPENDS argument must exist before calling ExternalProject_Add. I have a follow-up patch to clang that enables using the just-built libLTO in bootstrap builds, so we need to be able to add the LTO target as a dependency in clang. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@247316 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8 --- diff --git a/tools/CMakeLists.txt b/tools/CMakeLists.txt index 203169350c5..aca4350fcb2 100644 --- a/tools/CMakeLists.txt +++ b/tools/CMakeLists.txt @@ -30,6 +30,10 @@ if(CYGWIN OR NOT LLVM_ENABLE_PIC) set(LLVM_TOOL_LLVM_LTO_BUILD Off) endif() +# Add LTO before clang, ExternalProject requires targets specified in DEPENDS +# to exist before the call to ExternalProject_Add +add_llvm_tool_subdirectory(lto) + # Projects supported via LLVM_EXTERNAL_*_SOURCE_DIR need to be explicitly # specified. add_llvm_external_project(clang)
